[PPAs] Recopilación [Hardy/Intrepid]
He visto en el blog de Nico una fabulosa recopilación de PPA’s listos para ser incluidos en los repositorios de nuestras instalaciones y aunque en mi caso en mi instalación estable no uso repositorios de terceros ni personales, si lo hago en instalaciones de prueba, de tal manera que puedes usarlo bajo tu propio riesgo.

Felíz año César!
Me llegó esta recopilación que hiciste y me detuve en “en mi caso en mi instalación estable no uso repositorios de terceros ni personales”. Mi pregunta es la siguiente: yo quiero algo superestable, por eso no cargo nada, pero por esto tambien me pierdo de las actualizaciones que efectúa Canonical. Por esto te hago dos preguntas:
1. ¿Es conveniente tener tildada en Orígenes del software a las Actualizaciones no soportadas (backports)? Es que por esta vía podría tener, por ejemplo, el Pidgin 2.5.2 cuando la que trae Ubuntu 8.04 es la 2.4.1
2.. En enero, cuando se publique Ubuntu 8.04.2, ¿Vendra actualizado OpenOffice o los que nos decidimos por una versión LTS tendremos que esperar hasta abril de 2010? Por supuesto que podemos hacerlo manualmente pero como no tengo nada que ver con los sistemas, no me preocupa esperar para no mandarme ninguna macana.
